Join me in a short online course, including a template, plus short videos on how to make this fabric jug. It fits snugly over a tin can, creating a vase for fresh or dried flowers, perfect for decorating the house or giving away as presents.
This short course includes two shapes of vase templates for you to download and print out, five short videos on how to make this lovely little vase.
Order
1. gathering the materials required
2. stitching the design in free motion
3. making up the vase.
4. designing, using a presser foot and straight stitch (no free motion necessary)
5. alternative way to finish off the vase
The instructions can be downloaded and printed out, so you can follow them at your own pace while you stitch.
Within this course, there are multiple images showing different stitched designs to inspire you, and information on using different weights of fabric and different ideas for stitching the edges.
You will need the use of a printer, the videos are easier to watch on an iPad or computer but you could use your mobile phone. You can also join my online course 'Facebook group', if you wish to reach out to others who are progressing through my online courses.
Please note!
This course DOES NOT go into detail on the technique of free motion embroidery
The wool that I use can be purchased from my website.
Make as many as you want and store them flat when you are not using them, this also makes them perfect for posting to friends and family.
You can fill your vase with seed heads from your garden, or maybe wooden flowers, you can also fill the inner can with water and add flowers for that fresh look and natural scent.
